How to play pro level Chasca in Genshin Impact

As the first character in Genshin Impact to use multiple elements, the giant gun flying elf sentinel girl has a lot of cool stuff. Chaska's game mechanics seem to be as chaotic as her character and personality, with more variation and randomness than a gacha game!

If you've ever wanted to fly forever without downtime in Teiwat, or if you just want to destroy enemies with a reaction, there are some things you won't be able to understand when you first pick up Chaska. Here are some tips to help you make the most of Chasca's power!

Can you play Xilonen with Chasca?

Yes, but it won't be an improvement

We've already talked about how Chaska needs PECH teammates (Pyro, Electro, Cryo, and Hydro) to take full advantage of her range, as playing one bullet means that particular bullet does 60 percent less damage. However, Xilonen provides such a strong Elemental RES grind and DMG bonus thanks to the Scroll of The Hero of Cinder City artifact set that you might wonder if she can pull off that disadvantage.

If you want to play it, it can certainly work. The overall difference in Chasca's DPS damage may be negligible. However, since this definitely won't improve her damage output in any significant way, even adding a level one Barbara to your team can do just as much damage to Chaska.

Eternal flight

Exploration is one of Chaska's best skills, the ability to soar through the sky with speed and comfort that no other character can even hope to achieve. However, you can take it one step further by never touching the ground and become a true aerial cowherd.

For this you will need either Kinich
or Ororon. You use Natlan's character force switch mechanic to switch to either character once Chasca's Elemental Skill escapes and stays in the air. Then, once Chaska's cooldown is up, you can force switch back to her, rinse and repeat.

This only works in Natlan.

Make reactions more consistent

Build your teams accordingly

Chaska's damage is very accidental. While she can perform a flurry of reactions, the randomness makes it very easy to waste your entire rotation without having a single one work. While there is no way to completely fix this, there are certain commands that improve its consistency.

Commands with ternary elements, such as commands that use Furina
, Bennett
and Xiangling
also have the same chance to trigger a multiplier reaction as her Freeze-Vape-Melt commands. However, since Forward Melt deals more damage, it usually results in more damage from Chaska herself.

Namely, you can use reactions that can cast multiple auras on enemies at once, such as Electric Charge or Freeze. Where you'd normally only get an average of one reaction per three shots, you can see how the Freeze-Vape-Melt team can increase the sequence to a 66.67 percent chance of causing a reaction compared to the 33 percent chance of its Ororon teams.

Should I lose her passives?

Chaska benefits greatly from having a variety of elemental characters on her team due to many factors. First, one of Chaska's passives has a chance to give her a fourth Enhanced Bullet. This chance can go up to 100 percent if all party members belong to different PECH elements. Similarly, another passive gives the Part a huge DMG bonus based on the number of individual items present in the group.

Whether or not you want to have an all rainbow team depends a lot on how well your other characters are stacked. If you have extremely strong Xiangling
such as putting both Bennett
and Xiangling
together it might be worth losing some personal losses on Chasca.

Losing your reaction isn't a bad thing

Other team members use them

You may be disappointed by how easy it is to miss a reaction to Chasca. However, for most teams, this is not as big of a problem as you might think, including the top Furina-Bennett Chasca core.

Simply put, Chaska's loss in reaction means another heavy hitter is handling her. In the Furina-Bennett core, Chasca will be able to run Vaporize. However, if she doesn't, it just means that either yours Xiangling
or Furina
summoned it, and since they both contribute a decent portion of your total DPS, it won't cause you to lose damage.

Should I use Chasca's Tap E?

Almost never, but there is a benefit

The answer is simple: no, it should almost never be used because of how low the damage multipliers are. However, in some niche scenarios it can be a pretty decent part of her kit.

If the enemy has an item that can interfere with your reaction, using Anemo while tapping on it can remove it from them. Likewise, if you want to twirl an item to spread it to nearby enemies, or if you're using a set of artifacts or weapons that give you extra damage from triggering reactions, this can update the duration of the buff.

Can you play Chasca with Xingqiu or Yelan?

It will be uncomfortable, but yes

As with so many things about Chasca, the answer is not easy. Chaska's charged attack during her elemental skill does not trigger Xinqiu
and Deer
coordinated attacks, which for many means that characters do not work with her.

However, Chaska can still use a push attack to have coordinated attacks function and then follow up with a charged attack. Since Chaska can usually only fit in three or four separate attacks per skill with some time to spare, this doesn't affect her rotation. However, whether or not it's worth it depends on your team and how comfortable you are with interspersing attacks between her charged attacks.

Alternate artifact parameters

The Obsidian Codex
this is undoubtedly the best set of Chasca artifacts. However, there are some cases where others, such as the Wandering Corpse, can be not only a good alternative, but even a better option!

The Wanderer's group has a very large DMG bonus per charged attack, and since all six of Chaska's bullets count as CA DMG, this increases the damage on each hit. Also, since some synergistic weapons for Chasca, such as Polar star
or The way of the hunter
give her CRIT Rate, using the Obsidian Codex can let her reach over a hundred percent CRIT while losing damage.

Shimenawa's Reminiscence is another awesome option that increases her Charged Attack damage more than any other artifact with a whopping 50% damage from her bullets.

Similarly, Marachoussee Hunter in Furina commands is an extremely reliable option that does the same thing as Obsidian Codex, increasing your CRIT Rate to 36 percent, just four percent less than Obsidian Codex!
