How to play Fumulus, The Infestation Commander deck in Magic: The Gathering

Fumulus, Contagion is one of the legendary creatures featured in the Magic: The Gathering Jumpstart set. It's a mono-black commander, which means you can only play black and colorless cards in your deck. However, this is hardly a disadvantage.

Fumulus, the Infestation deck is a creature sacrifice. This comes in the form of sacrificing your own creatures and forcing your opponents to sacrifice theirs. Limiting it to only black cards doesn't hurt the deck, since most mass casualty strategies and casualty clearances are colored anyway. Most of the time paying X for Meathook Massacre isn't worth it unless it's late game. Better to take him down early than wait until you have enough mana to activate his sacrifice ability.
