Half-Life 2 is getting a lot of players on Steam
Exactly 20 years after Half-Life 2 was first released, the number of players on Steam has increased dramatically due to many factors.
How to move a stationary platform in Ravenholm?
In the middle of the chapter, you will reach a dead end with zombies ambushing you from all sides. The only way to escape from these undead is this reach the high ground and go along the raised ledges. However, you'll soon reach the end of a ledge where you need to move a platform to cross a large gap and reach the rooftops. Here are the steps to find and access the lever to move said platform:
- When you reach the dead end, look for the control point to your right and go around it to access a ladder that gives you access to a higher level of the station.
- The control station also includes a viewing balcony that allows you to observe the road below. The lever that controls the platform is located on this viewing balcony.
- Once on the viewing balcony, look for the lever on the left and at foot level. The reason you most likely won't notice this lever is because of its color choice, which makes it look like one of the support rods for a balcony fence.
- Interacting with this lever moves the platform along the hanging wire, allowing you to cross the gap and move through the town of Ravenholm.
The feeling of being stuck outside with an endless amount of zombies also adds to the anxiety of having to find a lever as quickly as possible, which can cause you to lose focus and not notice your surroundings. However, once the lever is activated, you can breathe a sigh of relief as the path ahead is linear and you no longer have to solve puzzles until the end of the chapter.
