In general, the best way to improve your park rating is to improve the lowest of these four metrics, which you can see in the Park Rating menu. The lowest of these four park rating statistics carries more weight than the others when calculating your overall park rating and may lower your score.

If your fleet rating starts to drop, quickly go to the fleet management menu and determine what issues need to be addressed. If you shift gears immediately and focus on improving this lowest park rating, you will increase your park rating faster.

• Add scenery objects to the area around your rides and queues – now you can also add scenery directly to the train cars.

• Make landscaping a regular part of your routine as you create new areas of your park.

• Create Hub Zones with different themes for more scenery.
• As you build each path, lay out the landscape objects.
• Make sure the decorations are visible to guests. A landscape doesn't count towards your overall scenery rating if guests can't see it (such as a landscape with obstacles or a landscape that cuts underground)

Measured in sights. Check the top left corner of the Unique Rides screen (under the Park Rating menu) to see your current number of rides and how many you need to build to get the next star.

• Never build two identically named coasters, flat rides, or other pre-built rides in your park. Always choose something new than what you have already used.
• Don't rely too much on one type of attraction – put equal emphasis on building attractions such as pools, rides and other attractions near the coasters
• Use the Frontier Workshop to download player-made custom creations that can increase the number of your unique sights.
• If you're creating new coasters (or a similar custom attraction), make sure they have different features than your other coasters. Two stands with equal levels of excitement and fear will battle it out for the guests.

How to improve the reputation of the park

Measured in reputation. Check the top left corner of the Park Reputation screen (in the Park Rating menu) to see your current Park Reputation level and how much you need to earn the next star.

• Regularly check the thoughts of individual guests by spot-checking your crowds – sometimes you can spot small problems before they become big problems.
• Open the Park Management menu and open the Guests tab to get an overview of what guests think about the park as a whole. Focus on solving the most common complaints in your fleet.
• Click on your attractions, shops and other guest facilities to find out what guests think about those specific attractions and buildings. Focus on the most common complaints to increase the prestige of these properties and increase satisfaction.
• The most common complaint in most players' parks is cleanliness. To combat this, make sure to hire more than enough janitors and place a lot more trash cans than you think.
