How to import drawings

Drawings when exported are stored in a text string. To import one, click Import String button. on the shortcut bar, then paste the desired Blueprint into the line. The copied plan will be placed in your hand and you can either immediately put it into the world or save in your inventory as a sketchbook for later use.

You can receive blueprints from other players through sites like Factorio Prints, directly from other players, or even from your own save files.

How to use imported drawings

To use the Blueprint you imported, click on the plan in your inventory to select it. This will create a ghost version of all components in Blueprint that you can place in the world, providing a guideline for the creation of machines, or, more likely, how manual for robots build for you while the necessary materials are stored somewhere in their logistics network.

If drawings are stored in a drawing book with other drawings, you can right-click on a drawing book to display a list of all the drawings stored in itthen select each individual plan you want to use. You can also use Shift + mouse wheel to scroll between active drawings.
