Learn how to build a smelter and make bronze ingots in the Sengoku Dynasty.
To upgrade these equipment levels, you need to farm a specific metal each time, and iron is one of them. It takes you quite a few hours before you even think about the Iron Age, but it's not a hard resource to find once you're there.
Where to get Iron in Sengoku Dynasty
When playing Sengoku Dynasty, you will first arrive at the ruins of Sasogi Village, probably where you created your first village. If you look at the map, you'll see certain regions with iron ore as a source of village resources, although that doesn't mean you can only find iron in those areas.
It simply means that you will see iron on the surface of these areas and you can bypass it while mining these nodes. However, there are other places where you can easily find Iron – caves. They can be found all over the map, and here are some of the best spots:
-
There is a cave on the right next to the Enjiro village teleporter south of Sasoga. This is the best place to get iron early.
-
You can find more caves as you head southeast from Engir. One cave can be found in the middle of the mountains another exists on the border.
-
Finally, you can also go to Iwasaki Village and find a mine in the northern part of it. This is mine long, but does not have a high concentration iron ore.
Apart from all this, you can also auto-forge iron by creating a village in a resource area and using the Miner's Workplace to have your villagers do the work for you.
How to extract iron
Although you can get to iron ore even early in the game, you won't be able to get it yet. If you want to mine iron, you first need to make a bronze pickaxe or a higher level tool.
This will allow you to enter the iron ore. You can also increase the amount of ore you get from each node by updating the Efficient Miner on the Legend tab. Finally, you can sometimes mine iron ore randomly by raiding enemy camps or browsing the inventory of certain merchants.
What is iron used for?
When you make a hammer and look at the production building tab, you will see a building called the Forge. However, this doesn't unlock until you get iron oreand also the main thing you will need iron for. After building a forge, you will be able to create high-level tools and weapons in it.
Most of these things will require iron. If you can set up an automatic Iron farm, you can too use it to craft tools for your villagerswhich will last much longer than copper or stone implements.
