However, the process of successfully using a rabbit cage can take some time to wrap your head around, and there are tips and tricks to using them effectively. When you learn how to use these cells, you will be well prepared for the dangers of the Forest.
How to build a rabbit cage and trap
To successfully use a rabbit cage, you will first need a rabbit trapso keep this in mind before starting the build. When you're ready to start, you can find the structure of a rabbit cage in the Food section. Survival guide.
Interact with it in the directory as you would any other structure and find a place where you would like to build it before interacting again to prepare a diagram to place the necessary materials. You need 13 cage sticks, which can be found on the ground to be picked up.
You can only carry a base amount of ten wands at a time. You can go back to the transparent cage diagram and place your ten sticks in the diagram before getting three more sticks to finish.
By making a “stick bag” you can carry more than ten sticks. However, since you'll likely find all the sticks you need close to where you're building, this won't be much of a problem.
Once you've made a rabbit cage, you can make a rabbit trap by following a similar process. The Rabbit Trap is in the Small Traps section of the Survival Guide and requires 31 sticks – a considerable sum.
How to use a cage for rabbits
When you have both the rabbit trap and the cage ready, you need to wait for the rabbit to wander into your trap. As soon as the rabbit is caught, approach it and interact to pick up the rabbit. Take it to your Rabbit Cage and then interact again to place the rabbit in the cage; you can keep seven rabbits in one cage.
A night's sleep can speed up the time (in the real world) it takes for rabbits to get trapped.
Rabbits have a small chance (ten percent) of breeding in cages overnight while you sleep. so we recommend keeping four rabbits in one cage and create multiple cells with the same number to help with this if you want to have a constant supply of food or rabbit fur.
You need make sure there are a minimum of two rabbits in the cage and a maximum of four if you want them to breed. However, if you just want to collect a few rabbits, you can have any number in the cage, up to seven.
