Don't get me wrong, I don't think Hogwarts Legacy would have won the GOTY, but the game has so much experience that I find it absurd that it didn't get a single nomination in any category at the 2023 Awards. Honestly, this was exactly the Wizarding World experience that many of us were waiting for, and it had no shortage of Harry Potter-esque experiences that we were all hoping to experience firsthand. The setting was stunning, I really enjoyed the story, and there were even a lot of accessibility options. Not to mention the music, which was great too. I wouldn't say it's a perfect game, but I think they did a tough job of not getting a single nomination in 2023.
