Since launching earlier this year, Helldivers 2 has had quite the rollercoaster ride. After the blockbuster start, things started to take a turn for the worse when Arrowhead decided to nerf several fan-favorite weapons. However, things are back on track after the developers took some time to balance things according to the community's preferences.

Helldivers 2 is not a dead game, so stop calling it that
We need to stop using this term for games that simply don't deserve it.
Since then, Helldivers 2 players have been pitching ideas to the developers in the hope that they will catch on. While most of them are just for improving their favorite weapon or nerfing a certain unit, some of the ideas are pretty good. For example, one player took to Reddit and suggested that Exosuits should be able to overload their cores in a Hellbomb.
A walking hell bomb
Ever since Super Earth freed Tien Kwan, the Helldivers have been given the ability to summon Exosuits to aid them in destroying hordes of bugs and bots. Unfortunately, we soon realized that these are glass cannons that are only suitable for certain types of missions. In that case, lunlunqq001's suggestion might make these mechanisms a bit more useful.
Once it's lost both cannons or taken too much damage, you can initiate a self-destruct like trick to overload the core and turn it into a mobile Hellbomb. From the comments, it seems that everyone likes the idea. There are already some players who like to kill the mech so it doesn't fall into enemy hands as a form of RPG.
Arrowhead has a tradition of updating the lore, so some comments even suggested a basic order for players to mine self-destruct cores for mechs.
This addition will also change the way you use the mechanics in the game. Rather than being used simply as defensive gimmicks, they would make excellent vanguard material. Imagine running into one of these in an insect nest, killing as many Terminids as you can and setting it to self-destruct before bolting.
While it's one thing to revamp old gimmicks, Arrowhead COO Johan Pilestedt said he'd like to do crossovers with specific IPs like Aliens , Starship Troopers and Terminator . However, he also stated that he would not want to overdo it by bringing anyone into the game. Adding someone like Peter Griffin to the game would have watered it down and turned it into a “not Helldivers” experience.
