Dropping a 500kg bomb on a Terminid hive or a machine gun base in Helldivers 2 is fun, as is taking a direct javelin hit on a bile titan. The funnest aspect of Arrowhead, however, is how your team of four constantly sabotages themselves by doing something stupid. Helldivers 2 proves that simpler can be better

Friendly fire is part of the fun of the game – in fact, it's one of the main reasons why each mission in Helldivers 2 feels different. With the Omens of Tyranny update launched at The Game Awards, we finally got the Illuminate and vehicles we've been waiting for. However, the update's cover pays tribute to the comedy of errors in each Helldivers 2 mission.

As with every major update, Omens of Tyranny received a new painting featuring four Helldivers battling a swarm of enemies – in this case the Illuminate. Still, it's a comedy of errors that pays homage to all the Helldivers opening friendly fire on their own squad — and the community loves it, as MiddlePhone8670's post on Reddit shows.
“Don't forget that the buttforts upstairs democratically drop a fire grenade on their friends. A vote for fire is still a vote,” notes the commenter, who anticipates a significant rise in temperature in the previous few seconds. Others noted that the Helldiver with the HMG was covered in stims, likely thanks to his teammates shooting him with Stim pistols because he kept charging at the enemy.
The “Raildiver” on the right is about to blow his entire squad to pieces by charging the Railgun too hard. But the worst sin was committed by the one below. I'm not talking about the grenade he's been preparing for too long, but him stepping on a Helldivers plushie!
“Are we signs of tyranny?” said one comment that was immediately reported to a truth officer.
One super citizen corrected them saying, “No, Lord Bear, the President of the Calypso Colonies was threatened by the Illuminati.
