Since its inception nearly two decades ago, Gunar has been at the forefront of the eyewear industry, constantly pushing the boundaries of what eyewear can offer in both form and function. From protecting your eyes from the harsh effects of blue light to enhancing comfort and clarity in a screen-driven lifestyle, Gunnar has earned its reputation. Thanks to cooperation with such popular franchises as Call of Duty and Precipitationand a great design that balances style and substance, the brand's eyewear has become a must-have for gamers and professionals alike.
At this year's CES in Las Vegas, Gunnar raised the bar again, making available today a selection and more that continues to deliver the same level of excellence the brand has long been known for. In response to feedback and trends at CES 2025, Gunnar introduced features and designs that expanded the demographic while staying true to the goals of style, comfort and eye health.

The Gunnar Clear Pro lens is an artist's dream come true
Gunnar's standout product at CES this year was undoubtedly its Clear Pro brand lenses, which are now available in several different collections—Muir, Humboldt, Pacifica, Palomar, Pismo, and Tahoe. The Gunnar Clear Pro lens was developed following a demand from graphic designers and other creatives who wanted the company's patented technology, but without the color shift that would inevitably lead to misinterpretation of colors on their screens.
As their name suggests, Gunnar Clear Pro lenses are completely clear, despite offering the same technology and features as the brand's other lens variations, including the signature amber tint. Gunnar Clear Pro lenses are also available for those who need prescription glasses, which ultimately increases their appeal and extends their reach even further.
Gunnar is expanding its selection of mineral glass
On the clear lens side, Gunnar is expanding its mineral glass offerings with the new Purity collection, due out this May. Gunnar's mineral glass lenses, using the same material used in high-end cameras and telescopes, eliminate refraction, iridescence and image distortion for unparalleled clarity.
At CES, Gunnar unveiled the debut product in the Purity collection, the Tioga, which features the brand's popular mineral glass lenses in a lightweight circular acetate and reclaimed wood frame with German spring-loaded ear loops. Following the release of the Purity collection, the Tioga line will be available in May in Amber and Clear Pro mineral glass for a retail price of around $250.
The new Gunnar Sun-Shift and Viscer models provide a balance of adaptability and comfort
Some of the more distinct Gunnar offerings on display include the brand new Sun-Shift and Viscer models. The Sun-Shift model is a collaboration with Activision and Call of Dutyaptly named “Call of Duty Ghost Edition” and it's available for purchase now. These glasses come with military aviator frames made from premium polymer and stainless steel to ensure a sleek look and maximum durability. Although the lenses feature Gunnar's Signature Amber tint, they can change to a sunglass shade when outdoors in about 15 seconds, and then back to Amber after 15 minutes indoors.
Gunnar's Viscer isn't quite available yet, as the company plans to launch it this March. This particular goggle model resembles ski and snowboard goggles because they have wide lenses designed to prevent dry eyes by restricting airflow. Ultimately, Gunnar believes they appeal more to the eSports crowd, but they still offer something unique that everyone can benefit from.

The Gunnar Krista and Pinnacle collections offer a wider range of looks and sizes
In response to customer feedback that most of the brand's eyewear is aimed at men, Gunnar is also launching its new Krista collection this year, which should give those who want a more feminine look what they're looking for. In total, the collection will release four different lines over the next few months, each with its own look and design and for just $65.
-
Erika (February 2025): All-metal construction with a cat's eye design
-
Eileen (April 2025): Smooth and straight lines
-
Ingrid (April 2025): rounded, clingy shapes
-
Sofia (April 2025): Rose gold frame with rounded lenses
Customers have also given feedback on the fit of most Gunnar goggles, noting that they tend to be too tight on larger heads. So Gunnar is responding in kind with Pinnacle—a line of king-sized glasses aimed at better fit on larger heads—scheduled to launch in June 2025.
Gunnar's Quantum and Luma collections combine style with substance
Gunnar also showcased some of its Quantum and Luma collections at CES 2025, both of which are among its most stylish offerings. As part of the Quantum collection, Dume sunglasses are inspired by Tony Stark's glasses from Avengers and have gold temples and side shields, incorporating Gunnar air defense technology into the mix. Dume is available in Gunnar's Signature Amber, Maximum Protection Amber Max and Sun.
Gunnar's Freemont and Campbell lines, which are part of the Luma collection, are also on the way this year. These glasses have a full metal frame with an acetate/marble side and a small vent around the edges. Ultimately, they allow wearers to get all the benefits of a pair of Gunnar glasses while still looking quite discreet.
Overall, Gunnar's display at CES 2025 further confirms its commitment to innovation, style and inclusivity, setting a new standard for the eyewear industry. Satisfying consumer needs with products such as the Clear Pro and Purity collections, while broadening its appeal with others such as the Krista collection, Gunnar continues to prove itself as a formidable competitor in the market. Whether it's improving visual clarity for creatives, redefining functionality for gamers, or offering design for underserved demographics, Gunnar proves he remains not just a pioneer, but a leader in the field.
