Freya is an incredible teammate and Freya's best skill God of War Ragnarok will see her becoming more aggressive against her enemies. Freya has a ton of skills to unlock, but the best skills to unlock first will help with her violent actions, giving her more independence in combat and adding multiple arrows to use.
6 Mind of Valkyrie

It's a skill everyone should work on to unlock their potential in combat, especially if it's a quick volley of shots that easily destroys enemies.
Valkyrie's mind gives Freya new ways to fight, and the fact that her abilities in the Valkyrie tree already make her aggressive and worth standing alongside Kratos, it's great to see a flurry of arrows that can help her stand out, stagger and stun her enemies.
5 Spirit of Valkyrie

The Spirit of Valkyrie allows Freya to be more independent in combat, and she can use her sword and Valkyrie wings to slash and even cut through enemies. This is an aggressive skill that unlocks Freya's further fighting potential as a partner.

It's always good to have Freya's support, especially when there are overwhelming numbers of enemies out to take Kratos down. With active focus, Freya's Valkyrie Goddess abilities will benefit Kratos due to his aggressive tactics that cover any distance.
3 Goddess of aggression

Goddess Aggression, which evolves from the Spirit of the Valkyrie skill, is a much-needed upgrade that will make Freya the Valkyrie Queen. This is a great skill to invest in early on, thanks to the fact that she becomes much more aggressive, meaning Kratos has even less to watch over her as she parries enemies more often and charges into them ready for war.
The fact that Freya can now stun enemies will greatly benefit Kratos as it will not only deal more damage but also extend the stun meter allowing Kratos to brutally finish off the enemy. Further investment in Valkyrie skills is always beneficial to improve attacks.
2 Lishka arrow

It's always important to use AI partners Atreus and Freya in battle, as their shot count can really help stun enemies and create a rune meter that allows for more damage. However, there is a limited number of arrows before these archers need to recharge, so giving Freya the Surplus Arrow skill means she can have an extra Runic Arrow to use in battle.
Having an extra runic arrow makes combat easier, as Freya can be used to fire volleys at enemies without having to worry about not reaching an empty quiver. More arrows means more damage, and this will always benefit Kratos, especially when trying to solve puzzles that use rune arrows.
1 Tangled grip 1
Freya surrounds enemies with vines to hold them back

Entangled Grip is an important skill to unlock for Freya as it will really help keep enemies from getting to Kratos. With Freya's Vanir magic, she will be able to trap weaker enemies in her vines, giving Kratos a brief moment of respite from being overwhelmed by an army of smaller enemies. Alternatively, it can also be used to hold an opponent in place to strike.
Entangled Grip always comes into play in tight battles with multiple enemies, so it's worth investing in right away, especially if it's the first in the Vanir Magic skill tree that will need to be unlocked if players want to unlock even more skills.
