Fortnite confirms the return of the map in Chapter 2

Epic Games has now officially confirmed that the next season Fortnite the original Chapter 2 map will return as part of a special season known as Remix Chapter 2. After releasing a new teaser trailer for the upcoming season over the weekend, Fortnite fans were concerned after noticing that the Chapter 5 map was still being used in the clips, but now Epic has assured players that the iconic island will make a triumphant return from 2019.

Back in 2023, Epic Games came out Fortnite OG, a new month-long season that brings players back to the game's original map from Chapter 1, complete with classic weapons, vehicles, items and more. Now it looks like the studio is looking to repeat that success once again, as Epic has confirmed that a new mini-season is on the horizon, with the Chapter 2 map now the focus.

After teasing Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix Over the weekend, Epic Games officially confirmed that the special season will see the return of the original Chapter 2 map. While it may seem obvious given the season's title, fans were confused by a recent teaser video as it still showing the current map of Chapter 5. Fortunately, the new twitter on the official site Fortnite Epic's Twitter account said, “Yes, we are returning to Chapter 2's island.” The studio also noted that there will be “bursts” of content from the earliest seasons.

After previous leaks for Fortnite Remix Chapter 2 suggested that there will also be a new live event in the upcoming season, Epic Games confirmed the rumors by saying, “Yes, there is an event.” While the live event announcement is all fans have at the moment, Epic said that more information about the event will be released on October 29th, likely via a new blog post on the game's official website.

Although details about the next season Fortnite rare, the famous liquor suggested that the release date for Fortnite Chapter 2 will be remixed on Saturday, November 2nd. The return of Chapter 2 is expected to work similarly Fortnite OG, new seasons rotate frequently. If leaks are to be believed, Chapter 2 Season 2 will be released on November 9th, followed by Season 3 on November 23rd, before concluding with the live streaming of Chapter 6 on November 30th.
