Fallout London is one of the largest and most complex mods ever created for any video game. Acting essentially as a brand new entry to Precipitation series, the mod recreates London in a post-apocalyptic state and gives players hundreds of quests to complete, as well as a number of new characters, creatures, weapons and factions to fight. Emulating the humor and creativity of the Bethesda original Precipitation series, the developers at FOLON have placed many cultural references and easter eggs around the ruins of London.

Perhaps the only thing known about the world famous graffiti artist Banksy is that he is British. Throughout the game world, players can find his graffiti painted on various walls and facades, including the opening of London Bridge Station.

Some pieces refer to his documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop, while other paintings echo similar works from the real world. Players can also take on a side quest where they have to find and photograph all the Pipsy artworks around town.

6 Doctor Who TARDIS

The iconic blue police box has its own side quest

For Doctor Who fans, Fallout London includes a reference to the Time Lord in the form of several “mysterious phone boxes” scattered around the city. Players are tasked with finding them all as a different side quest.

Interacting with the summon boxes will help decipher the mysterious code, although the boxes are not easy to find. In the world of science fiction Precipitationthe reference easily blends in with the surrounding chaos, but it's a nice tribute to fans of the series.

5 Alice in Wonderland tea party

Lewis Carroll Alice in Wonderland is one of the most famous works of Victorian literature and continues to hold a highly respected place in pop culture even today. Players can find a recreation of the Mad Hatter's tea party, one of the most famous scenes in the novel, by heading to the southeast bank of the river near Tower Bridge.

Here, players will find a long dining table with an assortment of strange items on it. A unique item, the Barmy Tophat, is also left on the chair at the head of the table. Inspired by the design of the Mad Hatter, this special hat will grant players an additional +2 Charisma.

4 007 Mysterious Stranger

A secret agent provides assistance to those with benefits

The Mysterious Stranger is a fan favorite Precipitation a character who is part of the perk of the same name, offering lethal assistance should players use VATS. Fallout LondonA unique feature of this feature is the styling of the Mysterious Stranger after the popular fictional spy James Bond.

Instead of the usual American detective outfit, the Mysterious Stranger now dons a black tuxedo and arrives to his Bond-esque tune. Originally based on a series of novels by Ian Fleming James Bond franchise is one of British cinema's most successful exports. The series is also referenced by some post-'005' gaming collectible magazines.

3 Submarine U-96

Stranded wartime ghouls need to solve a complex problem

Those who played in the original Fallout 4 to remember a quest in which a Chinese officer was found inside his submarine many hundreds of years after the end of the war that sent him there. Fallout London has a similar quest, only this time the invaders belong to the German army.

The name of the submarine “U-96” is also a reference to the classic war film of the same name Das Bootwhich follows the crew of a German submarine. Players can interact with the German ghouls on board, and this leads to one of the best and most challenging side quests in the entire game.

2 Young Alistair Tenpenny

The real estate mogul has another explosive offer

The Tenpenny Tower quest line was a fan favorite in the Fallout 3. Not only could players blow up an entire city and watch it from the vantage point of a luxury penthouse, but they could also direct a horde of wild ghouls at the Tower's residents. All in all, it was one of the most memorable locations in the game, with plenty of hidden secrets of its own.

Alistair Tenpenny, the owner of the hotel, appears Fallout London like a younger version of myself. He owns a similar tower in Westminster called Tenpenny Manor, and will task players with blowing up the London Eye in connection with Megaton's favorite quest.

The game world is full of subtle references to British culture

Some links will be more familiar to Brits than those living abroad. A wide range of popular British brands are mentioned throughout the game, such as Irn-Bru (Ion Bru), Prilladog (Pedigree), Singhsbury's (Sainsbury's), Greggori's (Greggs) and Fesco (Tesco).

Players may also spot the names of famous English footballers on the back of Hooligans shirts, as well as recognize Churchill's companion dog from the popular car insurance advert of the same name. There are many other references to British pop culture, from red double-decker buses to Royal Mail letterboxes that sometimes come to life.
