How the Valley of the Starry Sky was discovered
Valley of the starry skyThe headline was first leaked after the phrase was trademarked by HoYoverse with the Chinese government. It should be noted that this name may change after HoYoverse officially announces the game as Valley of the starry sky – a rough and literal translation of the Chinese trademark. The leak and translation comes from the famous HoYoverse leaker @hxgdiluc on X (formerly known as Twitter). User X also posted screenshots of the account of Bilibili, a popular Chinese streaming platform registered in Valley of the starry sky.
HoYoverse has yet to officially announce the game or comment on any leaks related to the alleged title. Rumors about an Animal crossing rival HoYoverse is raging after a series of leaks in 2023. It seems that Valley of the starry sky is a ostensibly simulation game that adds another cozy game to the genre.
Considering the growing popularity of cozy games and the massive revenue HoYoverse is making from its other titles, creating a simulation game seems like a smart move for the Chinese developer. Valley of the starry sky leaks may not benefit from the buzz they create for HoYoverse, as the company is known for taking legal action against leaks. However, these rumors have created a strong buzz among HoYoverse fans, which the developer can rely on.
New developments in the Valley of the Starry Sky
A select few HoYoverse fans have received mysterious emails from the studio inviting them to a confidential playtest for an unknown game. Reports list a playtest that will take place over the weekend of November 16th and 17th at a location in Los Angeles, California. The email doesn't mention any information about the game's content, which means the test could be for a new HoYoverse title or an existing one. Despite this, the content of the game seems pretty juicy, as players will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement if they participate. They will also receive an Amazon gift card as compensation.
With rumors about Valley of the starry sky circulating for over a year, it seems reasonable that HoYoverse would try to release the game as soon as possible. At the very least, testing for the game seems like a step that would quench the thirst of those who have escaped in the Hoyoverse fanbase.
Images from the Valley of the Starry Sky have been leaked before
Leaked gameplay footage shows avatars in HoYoverse's classic chibi art style frolicking across an open field to chop down trees. These sharp animations and leaked images of the game's crafting interface are incredibly derivative of the Animal Crossing: New Horizonsfurther proof that HoYoverse may be trying to compete with Nintendo's long-standing franchise.
However, unlike the Nintendo properties, Valley of the starry skyThere seems to be a moving camera in the visuals. This is a mechanic who Animal crossing does not have, with cameras always fixed. It is possible Valley of the starry sky will focus on improving established parts Animal crossing as part of the game draw.
Ultimately, this upcoming playtest will either confirm or deny Valley of the starry skyleaks. HoYoverse fans will have to wait until the playtest begins on November 16th for any new information on the developer's next title.
