Okarun and Momo could form an unexpected duo, given Okarun's characterization as an occultist and Momo's portrayal as confident and fiery. However, they complement and support each other while the other falls short Dandadan.
Although both have expressed feelings for each other, they are too shy to admit it, not knowing if their feelings are mutual. Complications arise with the arrival of a new love interest that challenges their budding relationship. Okorun, now more confident, finds himself among many options; however, he continues to remain loyal to Momo.

Dandadan: Explaining Momo's true feelings for her grandmother
Momo's grandmother, Ayase Seiko, surprised many with her appearance. Despite her young appearance, she and Momo have a peculiar relationship.
Okorun's crush on Momo
A fateful meeting and a chance that cannot be missed
Okarun or Takakura Ken's crush on Momo started gradually as they started spending more time together after their fateful first meeting, during which Momo saved Okarun from the class bullies. Although Okarun is normally a quiet person who tries not to draw attention from his popular classmates, after meeting Ayase Momo, Okarun began to open up and become more assertive.
During their first meeting, Okorun was excited to connect with someone who shared a similar interest in UFOs. Although Momo initially did not share this excitement, the two developed an unexpected friendship. This relationship would lead them on many supernatural and paranormal escapades, and they would gain allies and romantic interests throughout their journey.
I thought if I got stronger behind her back…I would look cool…I lied to her on purpose…and I would reap what I sowed! And what if she disappointed you?! If you want to be considered Ayase-san's feelings… Don't make excuses! Stronger!
Originally, Okorun just wanted to make a friend as he had none before. However, watching Momo genuinely care about his feelings gradually endeared him to her, leading him to want more time together. After the incident with the Flatwoods monster and Grandmother Turbo, Okorun retrieved one of the family jewels. This experience made Okarun and Momo realize that they wanted to keep seeing each other, and the shared events brought them even closer.

Relatives
Dandadan: How smart is Ayase Momo?
Ayase Momo is undeniably charismatic. She also displays great intelligence, showing off her wit. However, she also puts herself at risk.
Over time, Okarun's infatuation will grow to the point where he wants to improve himself in case of an emergency involving Yokai or aliens. While many would like to train and become stronger to protect themselves in the event of a monster attack, in Okarun's case, he trained secretly to become stronger in order to protect Momo.
Okorun has yet to confess his feelings at the beginning of the series, but he does his best to make sure Momo doesn't misinterpret the embarrassing situations he gets into with other girls like Aira who have fallen for him. While the two awkward teenagers have yet to fully confess their feelings, their playfulness and need to protect each other clearly shows that they like each other.

With the arrival of Gigi, Okorun confronts his emerging feelings as a new love rival emerges. The matter is complicated by the fact that this love was once Momo's infatuation and first love. Even though Shiratori Aira has expressed her feelings for Okarun, his focus remains solely on Momo. With Gigi now in the picture, Okorun is determined to win Momo's favor despite having to contend with three more competing love interests.

Relatives
Dandadan: How characters hide behind happy facades
Dundadan is filled with comedy moments; however, upon closer inspection, there is more to the characters' happy facades.
Shiratori Ira is somewhat of a slob who took one of Okarun's family jewels. After seeing Momo and Okarun's supernatural abilities, she begins to believe that they are demons, despite also receiving the aura of Acrobatic Silky. Soon after the incident, Aira begins to develop feelings for Okarun and is the only one who actively talks about it, often declaring her love for him whenever he interacts with her.
Right after that, Ira believes that to confess to someone you like, you have to kiss them, as seen in the dirty magazines her father keeps in his library. While many teenage boys would jump at the chance to kiss the popular Ira, Okorun flatly rejects her strong advances in an attempt to correct her misunderstandings and prevent her from kissing him. With this, Okorun shows his unwavering loyalty to Momo, and every moment he interacts with Aira, he ensures that any possible misunderstandings are cleared up, since Momo is the only girl in his eyes.
The thing is… Miss Ayase… I love you! I don't want to let you go!
After defeating the Kaiju, who turns out to be Wamola, who is suspected of possessing Okarun's family jewel, Wamola kisses Okarun right after he opens the Kaiju suit. Unfortunately, this was also when Momo recovered from being inside a robot controlled by Sakata Kinto. While Okorun could stop Aira from kissing him before, she claimed, he couldn't stop Wamola from kissing him. In this case, Okorun didn't think fast enough to stop the kiss and defended the action when he was “shaken up” and said Wamola was “really beautiful”, which unfortunately put him in the doghouse with Momo.
-
Okorun tried to consistently show Momo how he felt about her, often taking her feelings into account.
-
Although Okorun didn't outright reject Wamola when she first kissed him, he tried to keep the peace with Momo until he eventually rejected Wamola.

Relatives
Dandadan: An explanation of every alien with a real-life counterpart
Some of Dandadan's most dangerous and strange aliens in this series have an equally fascinating counterpart in real life.
After learning that Wamola would marry Okorun as he was a supposed strongman who could defeat her. Unlike Aira, Wamola, aside from Momo, was the only person that Okorun blushed fiercely around, mostly because of the kiss they shared. While Okorun is relieved to have cleared up the misunderstanding about why Wamola kissed him, Wamola is soon transferred to their school where they continue to spend time together, much to Momo and Aira's dismay. Although Okorun blushes around Wamola as she is a beautiful alien, he eventually rejects her advances, admitting that he is in love with Momo.
Okorun has accumulated many love interests throughout the series, including Momo, Aira, Wamola, and possibly Sawaki Rin. Her guardianship of him could indicate her growing feelings for him. However, this could only be because of his Turbo Granny transformation, which makes him look like a vampire.
Although Momo is aware of the other women's growing feelings and gives them and Okarun hell for it, she remains their trusted friend, fully aware of Okarun's feelings for her, beginning in chapter 159. However, Rin has not done anything steps further Akarun. While Okorun has a lot to choose from, it is Momo who holds his heart, so he remains faithful to her, unwilling to lead other women.
