For now Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies went through some major highs and lows in Season 1, such as the release of Citadelle Des Morts and the brief removal of camouflage farming in Directed mode, overall the mode remains very strong. in many ways Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies is exactly what players have been asking for after years of controversial changes, as the round maps offer strong survival gameplay and plenty of lanes to find. The game also feels like a marriage between modern innovations Black Ops Cold War and beloved Black Ops 3 thanks to the return of elements like Gobblegum, although this is an aspect of the game that could still be improved.
To be clear, Gobblegum's implementation of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies is solid. Players can hold three Gobblegums at once, can pick up gum for free each round, and have a chance to receive any Gobblegum in the game randomly every 8-10 rounds. Small post-launch touches have also added a bit of polish to the system, from the Gobblegum part of the HUD being cleaner to players appearing with the first three gummies in their pack. U Black Ops 6Gobblegums feel strong but not overpowering and can be continuously earned without players needing to spend COD points. Getting exactly what Gobblegums players want isn't easy though, so it's a shame there's no Newton Cookbook Black Ops 6. However, an alternative could fill the void provided by the Cookbook.

Call of Duty players will want to mark January 28th on their calendars as Treyarch confirms something big for Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
What was Newton's cookbook in Black Ops 3?
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3The Newton's Cookbook feature essentially allowed players to trade some of their Gobblegums for other, more desirable ones. For example, if players had a bunch of Killing Time and Temporal Gift gum, but no game-changing percoholics, they could trade a few of the former for one of the latter, giving them a chance to get exactly what they wanted. The three featured recipes changed daily, giving players a reason to log in every day and giving even their least favorite Gobblegum a purpose. When a particularly good recipe appeared, an event was felt, p Call of Duty Zombie fans take advantage of the opportunity to collect as many rare rubbers as possible.
Unfortunately, the return of Newton's Cookbook seems unlikely Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 for the sole reason that Gobblegum is the primary way to monetize Zombies mode. Players can buy packs of gum with COD points, and gum appears in battle passes, paid packs, and through Prestige progression. The addition of Newton's Cookbook will discourage players from buying Gobblegum packs as they can simply grind up random Gobblegums and exchange them for the right ones when the right recipe comes along. Activision will likely be against bringing Newton's Cookbook back because of this, as it could cut off a revenue stream, so improving Gobblegum will require a different approach.
As more Gobblegums are added, it becomes increasingly difficult to obtain the ones players want, as each rarity will be expanded with more potential drops.
How can Black Ops 6 improve on Gobblegum without Newton's cookbook?
While Newton's cookbook goes back to Black Ops 6 While zombies may be a pipe dream, there are other ways Treyarch can make it easier for players to get the gum they're looking for without spending real money or hoping for good RNG. These options include:
- Gobblegum Trading: Perhaps the easiest solution is to allow players to share their Gobblegum with their friends, just as they would with a weapon in a mystery box. Meleeing a car after spitting out gum can allow other players to pick it up.
- Gobblegum Spins: Something like Dr. Monty's factory would be great to see Black Ops 6. Although this will likely be monetized through paid spins, with only the daily spin being free, allowing players another way to earn Gums would be useful.
- Gobblegum Rewards: Treating Gobblegum as a reward could be an interesting opportunity for Treyarch. I like it Call of Duty: Warzoneplayers could be awarded medals based on their performances in matches, with gum tied to each medal. For example, most door purchases can give gummies like Wall-to-Wall Clearance to save generous players money on future runs, while most revivals can give items like Phoenix Up and Nowhere But There.
Regardless of which way it ends up going, it would be great to see Treyarch improve on their existing Gobblegum system. While Gobblegum is hardly a must, and can be earned often enough that the current format doesn't count as pay-to-win, it's too tedious for players to get exactly the Gobblegums they're looking for at the moment. This can be particularly frustrating as certain gums are required for things like camouflage summons, so hopefully further expansion Black Ops 6Gobblegum is planned.
