One Piece: Second Timeskip Explained
One Piece may undergo a second timeskip. Here's how.
First off, Elbaf as an arc might be a nice change of pace after the intensity of the Egghead Island Arc. Instead of constantly dealing with some high-level threat, this arc could have mostly focused on exploring and uncovering the mysteries of Giant Island. Investigating things like Ohara's restored library, figuring out Shank's connection, or reconciling Big Mom's damage between humans and giants are all points that can be resolved without requiring a main antagonist or threat to stand in the way.
Elbaf can be a perfect transitional arch
The Straw Hats could train and prepare for their final battle on Elbafa
In addition, One Piece The Elbaf Arc may also focus on the Straw Hat Crew's preparation for the Final Saga. Many of the characters, especially Usopp, could use a few new tricks to give them all one last boost before they have to take on the series' final threats. Also, here Luffy can find some kind of key that will allow him to unlock the full potential of his Devil Fruit and Gear 5.

If One Piece The Elbaf Arc only focuses on these two concepts rather than focusing entirely on a major battle against the antagonist, so there's no reason for the arc to go on too long. The exciting part of Elbaf is the discovery of the island itself and the culture of the giants, not that there might be a battle there. Any long, drawn-out battle on the island would only cheapen the wonderful world-building that Oda created to design the island.
After all, there's no telling what Oda's plans are for Doug Elbaf at this point One Piece. Whether the arc will be long or short remains to be seen. Whatever happens in the end One Piece Elbaf Arc is sure to be a great ride for fans.
