Review card Dialga Ex Card
- HP: 150
- Move # 1: 30 DMG (two metal energy)
- Move No. 2: 100 DMG (two metal + two colorless energy)
- Text: Take 2 steel energy from your energy zone and attach it to one of the Pokémon bench.
- Weakness: Fire
- Retreat: Two
Dialga EX is a ramp that can create two additional steel energy using your first step. This makes it a valuable energy supplier for both steel and colorless deck. However, its average HP as a former pokemon and the requirement to be in an active place make it a somewhat risky game.
Best deck for Dialga EX
Because Dialga EX specializes in energy for steel pokemon, it is ideal for previously combating a melmetal deck. To build a firm deck around this synergie, a couple of Dialga EX and Melmetal with the following cards: Meltan, Leaf, Dawn, Skarmory, Giovanni, Giant Cape, Rocky Shylet, Poke Ball and Professor's Research. (See table below for the number of cards.)

Dialga EX deck
-
When you go first, start with Skarmory and equip it with a rocky helmet to absorb the damage, discard HP enemy and stall.
-
Once Dialga EX has two energy, switch it. (If you go second, open with Dialga EX.)
-
Use the Dialga Ex capacity to build Melmetal on the bench.
-
If possible, retreat Dialga EX with a letter and use dawn to transfer your energy to your active Pokémon, Melmetal.
-
Start harming Melmetal.
-
Equip a giant cape to make Melmetal even more tankers.
How effectively play in the dialeag
Here are some key points to remember when playing Dialga Ex:
- Use Dialga EX to defeat rather than damage. Although it can cause up to 100 damage, Dialga EX is not the best attacker. To maximize its value, focus on its acceleration and turn it off when your main attacker is ready.
- Use free retreat with dawn. Combo Leaf and Dawn allow you to transfer energy Dialga Ex to your active Pokémon after retreat.
- Have a backup plan to go first. One of the biggest weaknesses of Dialga EX is a decrease in efficiency when they go first. Make sure your deck includes an alternative knife like Skarmory to compensate.
How to resist Dialga Ex
Recently updated fire Charizard EX and Moltres Ex Deck is strongly opposed most Dialga EX settings. To optimize this counter -strategy, add Shein and Dawn along with Pokemon Communication and a giant cape, to the classic Charizard Ex Decklist.
Given the current meta, Darkrai EX is also a reliable counter for Dialga EX. Alternatively, Gyarados EX and Greninja EX offer another solid version as they can thwart the Dialga EX lava and interfere with the opponent's event strategy.
I analyzed the 8-event POKEMON TCG POCKET Tournaments to assess performance Metagame Dialga Ex. Based on my research, Dialga EX on average rating No. 20, behind its competitors Smackdown Smackdown, Palkia EX and Darkrai Ex.
In particular, no tournament in my sample was won with the Dialga EX deck, while six events (75% sample) prevailed either Palkia EX or Darkrai Entup. Although this is not enough to announce the Dialga EX the biggest play of the last metagama, it is evidenced Pokemon Pocket.
