If you thought the Duke of Nukema died and left, think again. The Duke will return, just not how you think, how the one Shankar, which helped to revive the charging, and most recently the devil me cry, acquired the rights to the franchise.

In an interview with Esquire, Shankar showed that when he was addressed with several IPS, he recently acquired the right to IP Duke Nukem with Gearbox, just not in gambling.
Asked what his vision of the Duke's adaptation looks like, Shankar must say:
This is the middle finger for all. When the Duke of Nukem was undermined, a bunch of people was sitting, trying to turn it into a brand if it's just a middle finger. The Duke of Nukeme cannot be made by the corporation, because at the moment when the corporation makes the duke nuts, it is no longer a duke. I'm not going to have anyone told me what to do on it.
At the moment it is unclear when the potential adaptation of the shooter comes out, because Shankar has hands in several projects, but one thing it is clear: he understands what the Duke of Nuke, well, the Duke of Nukema.
Shankar quickly became a man of adaptation to video games
In addition to their work on Devil May Cry, which recently was Greenlit for season 2, “Shankar” has several other projects that rotate around video games.
Back in 2017, it turned out that Shankar would stuff anime oriented Assassin's Creed. It is unclear whether this project continues, but the article really refers to it. Elsewhere, Hyper Light Drifter was also announced in the screen with Shankar. If this was not enough, in 2021, as it turned out, PUBG received an adaptation, also from Shankar.
This means that Shankar is quite busy and my hands in many projects. With the following in the Duke's Nukema list, it does not literally say what's next.
