The final option for romantic dialogue in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Once you've chosen who you want to romance, head to their room at the Lighthouse. They should have an orange exclamation mark or an orange speech bubble next to the icon on the map. After talking to them, a side quest or conversation will start that can improve your relationship.

Once you are in the Lighthouse chat or during a side quest, you will see that some dialog options have a heart as an icon. Where you'd normally see a path icon, a thumbs up or something, you'll notice a big red heart. This is the option you should choose when you start a romantic relationship, without exception.

Then, as you have more conversations and complete additional companion quests for them, you will eventually be given the option to “start a romance” with the character. After that, you will be prompted to enter into an exclusive relationship with them through one quest.
