MADRID: Climate activists on Tuesday splashed paint on a mansion on the Spanish island of Ibiza owned by Argentine soccer star Lionel Messi to highlight the “responsibility of the rich for the climate crisis”. Activists from the Futuro Vegetal group released a video showing two members standing in front of a house near Cala Tarida Bay on Ibiza's west coast, holding a banner reading: “Help the planet – Eat the rich – Abolish the police”. Then the activists covered the white facade of the building with red and black paint.
