TAIPEI: China says it launched a rocket with a constellation of 18 satellites on Tuesday as part of efforts to assert its presence in space. The satellites were launched aboard a Long March-6 launch vehicle from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in northern China's Shanxi province early Tuesday evening. The official Xinhua News Agency reported that the rocket reached the programmed orbit without incident.
