Xbox has removed the $1 Game Pass trial, so people can't use it for Black Ops 6
Xbox has quietly made sure that no one will be able to play Black Ops 6 for $1 when it hits Game Pass next week.
Despite that Black Ops 6 will be available on day one for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers – more on that later – some of you may want to own a copy of the next CoD game, especially if you don't have an Xbox. There are multiple editions to choose from, as well as various pre-orders and bonuses attached to each, all of which are detailed below so you can make up your mind before release day.
Differences between Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 releases and pre-order details
Black Ops 6 has a Standard Edition and a Vault Edition. Naturally, the Vault Edition is a bit more expensive than the base version – $70 for standard, $100 for storage – but you can see everything you get for that extra $30 below and judge for yourself if it's worth it.

Both releases of Black Ops 6 previously included access to its beta as a pre-order bonus, but if you left it until now to buy the game, you've already missed out.
Pre-ordering any edition of the game will get you the Woods Operator Pack, but there's a catch. The pack is for use in Modern Warfare 3, not Black Ops 6. The good news is that the bonus will be unlocked once you pre-order, but presumably won't be with you when you move on to the next game on October 25th. All additional bonuses are included in the Vault Edition for Black Ops 6.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the first game in the series to launch under the Xbox banner. The game has a spy theme with various famous political figures making cameo appearances during its campaign.
Playing Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 on Game Pass
Even if you plan to play Black Ops 6 through Game Pass, you don't have to stick with the standard version. Only the base game will be included in Game Passbut if you want the additional extras that come with the Vault Edition, there is an option to purchase everything that comes with it separately.
Upgrading to the Vault version costs $30 and can be bought for Xbox or PC through the Xbox Games Store, with a PC version also available on Steam. As a reminder, due to changes to Xbox Game Pass that took place over the summer, Black Ops 6 and other early releases will only be available to Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
