Marvel Snap: best doom 2099 deck
Doom 2099 brings a new style of play to Marvel Snap that can be used in the power generating machine in this new current deck.
Bruce Banner is a two-cost, one-power card with a passive that allows him to transform into the Hulk after each round. However, the transformation is not guaranteed – it only has a 25% chance to activate, very similar to the Danger Room location. Here's everything you need to know about this controversial new product Marvel Snap map.

Bruce Banner Deck Synergies
-
Bruce Banner is a wild card. You leave it on board for a chance to get a 12 power card for the cost of two.
-
Sunspot, Hulk, and She-Hulk will benefit from your unspent energy.
-
Luna Snow provides the extra energy to play cards on the curve without giving up Bruce Banner.
-
High-Evolutionary activates the hidden abilities of Misty, Cyclops, and Hulk.
-
Magik makes the match longer, so you're more likely to get Hulks from Bruce Banners.
-
Frigga helps copy Bruce Banner for a better transformation.
-
Armor is your tech card. She protects Hulk and other big drops from enemy tech cards like Shang-Chi.
-
Infinaut is your backup win condition. By skipping turn five, you can potentially play both She-Hulk and The Infinaut—provided Luna Snow's extra energy is available.
How to play Bruce Banner effectively
If you're considering adding Bruce Banner to your decks, keep these tips in mind:
1. Increase your chances by duplicating it.
A single Bruce Banner on the board is not reliable, as his chances of transforming into the Hulk are minimal. If you've played with him before, you know that he often doesn't want the Hulk to leave. By duplicating Bruce Banner and having two or more on the board, you can greatly increase your chances of getting at least one Hulk after a few rounds. (Although it's also worth noting that going this route costs you real estate and can clog lanes.)
2. Protect your lane.
Bruce Banner is an easy target for enemy tech cards, so you'll need to protect him. Cards like Armor, Caiera, and Cosmo are great options to protect him. Choose support cards that not only protect Bruce, but also blend well with the rest of the deck.
3. Play with it as early as possible.
The longer Bruce Banner is on the board, the more likely we'll see him transform into the Hulk. While the transformation rate remains at 25% per round, the cumulative chance increases with each turn. Early play with Bruce and extending the match with Magic can give you more opportunities to release free Hulks.
How to stand up to Bruce Banner
Bruce is not difficult to resist. Red Guardian works well in his pre-Hulk phase, while Shang-Chi can handle him after he transforms. Lady Deathstrike can also remove Bruce at the right time. However, the best counterplay is often just waiting. If Bruce doesn't transform, there's no need to counter him—a 2 cost, 1 power Bruce flag left on the board is more of a liability to your opponent than a threat to you.
Is Bruce Banner worth it?
The short answer is no. Bruce Banner may have looked promising before launch, but the early stats show that he's a mediocre card at best. You will likely lose more matches relying on Bruce than you will win. Also, your decks are better without the extra RNG.
The only players who might like Bruce are casual players. If you don't care about being competitive and just want a fun game, it could be a fun addition to your collection. He'll have you biting your nails hoping that 25% chance pays off for a game-winning Hulk. If not, skip this week's Spotlight Cache and grab Groot & Raccoon instead.
