Although they can be your very first companion Fantasian Neo Dimensionthey are not with you for long at all. That is, of course, until Kino finally christens them Prickle later in the story. Then Prickle really grows into their own.

Fantasian Neo Dimension Review – Diorama-gorgeous, mostly
Fantasy is back exactly as you remember it.
After returning to Leo's group at the end of Act 1, Prickle got a few more moves when you first saw them. They're healers, but they have some pretty handy utility and combat features. Let's take a look at how to get the most out of Prickle.
Prickle's role in battle
If you get a Spike early in the game, it stays with you for a very short time, playing in support of Leo's attack. He leaves the party soon after, replaced in many of his functions by Kina. So when he finally rejoins the party, does he have a distinct playstyle?
Fortunately, yes. While Kino can later gain Barrier through his Growth Card, Prickle has it internally as well as a host of other options around it. It also comes with a an amazing amount of fighting ability and also, from being able to kill enemies to death, to showering every enemy with a hail of bullets.
Prickle will never be a consistent member of your party, but is rather great because of how situational he is. Heal all and hinder all are lifesavers in a pinch, and Hack can make the enemy miss a turn to give you even more time to set up your party. And while Frenzy hits everyone randomly when you do, it's incredibly powerful use it against one enemy instead.
Prickle can really do some serious damage if he wants to. Using Frenzy against a single target when boosted with Attack boost and charge can make him an unexpected force if you can't risk replacing him. And with him in the state cast Barriers at any timeeven in response to blows it can be quite strong.
Pricl's skills
As long as you purchase Prickle, you can already about 30 levels. After all, he does not join the party until you are defeated. As such, he has already learned most of his skills by the time you meet him, although there are still a few to be gained.

Excluding HackPrickle comes with the vast majority of their unique moves by default, which already gives you a solid idea of what they're capable of. Many of them can be extended through the Growth Mapalthough your tactics will primarily focus on them.
Prikla's growth chart
Like any other companion, Prickle eventually gains his own Divine Artifact, the Divine Tiara, which is actually more like a halo. With this, they also unlock their growth card, giving you the chance to really use some extra strategies from Prickle.
Prickle's Divine Artifact is unlocked by defending a secret base. This quest is triggered after saving enough robots and returning them to the secret base.
As with every companion, you should unlock the Jewel Slot + and Tension skills first, as they help a lot. Apart from that, here are the basic skills you should aim to acquire first:
- Crazy hit 1 and 2. The extra hits are great, especially when Funi is hunting.
- MP Cost Down. Many of Prickle's skills are expensive.
- Counter barrier. Being able to raise the barrier after hitting is a big help.
- Heal everyone. This will save a lot of time for a small amount of extra MP, and by this point you'll already have a Heal Eff of 1, making it even stronger.
These skills are more upgradable Prickle's defensive sidewhich we found most useful to obtain initially. As you gain levels, we would recommend you move in the direction Hack 1 and charging as well as This gives Hak a chance to inflict Death on the enemy, while Charge can make moves like Madness much stronger.
