Roy Temtem allows players to choose from several different Themes to play while holding off huge swarms of enemies. Although initially only Platypet and Smazee are available, the current build contains seven different themes for players to choose from when unlocked.
One Tem you can unlock after defeating the first main boss Roy Temtem is Oree. This digital Tem is an expert in AOE attacks and has the ability to rush right at the start of the round. This makes him a fairly mobile fighter, although his starting technique can make it difficult to reach the latter parts of the round without careful planning. This guide will cover Oree's playstyle, what to prioritize early in the round, and how to set up all of Oree's powerful interactions.

Smazi is a cute Tem monkey with impressive abilities in Temtem: Swarm. Here are his best builds to help you win the game.
Best skills for Oree in Temtem Swarm
Oree's Skill Tree offers many ways to make your attacks more lethal and improve the effectiveness of your Dash. To make things easier, first master the following skills:
- Recharging equipment: This shortens the time between casts, allowing you to spam large area attacks like Turbo Attack and Fire Tornado with amazing speed.
- Area: Simple and straightforward, it increases the area of effect of your methods, making it easier to destroy hordes of threads.
- Projectile: This gives you one extra projectile on all attacks, including Fire Tornado and Data Corruption, making it a great way to double your damage.
- Range: This increases the pickup range for any items on the ground, which is useful for helping you level up without getting too close to enemies. But more importantly, it is a prerequisite for the next skill.
- Experience Multiplier: Oree's biggest weakness is early game weakness as their data damage attack isn't very strong and leaves them vulnerable until they can level up and gain more techniques. Experience Multiplier helps you quickly build up power and get moving.
- Rotate: Another simple but powerful option that will allow you to flip your options as you level up, making it easier to track down essential upgrades like Fire Tornado early on.
- block: Similarly, Block allows you to remove a selected item from your selection as you level up towards the end of the run, allowing you to narrow down your options to increase your chances of getting what you need.
How to Build Oree in Temtem Swarm
Start of round and priorities
When you start a round with Oree, your number one priority should be more techniques. Turbo Attack and Fire Tornado are especially important here as they will help Oree eliminate large groups of enemies and quickly collect experience cubes. Data Burst is very valuable down the line, but pretty weak initially, so it has a slightly lower priority here. Oree's starting technique, Data Corruption, is great for slowing down enemies and can be manually aimed as of version 0.5, so you should use it to keep enemies from getting too close and keep them in range of your deadlier attacks. Data damage is unfortunately very weak on its own, so updating it can wait until you have solid damage options to help you out.
Once you have Turbo Attack and/or Fire Tornado working reliably, you can start collecting gear. You should pay attention to School of Fire, Volgan Scale and Drill. Fire Chip will increase fire damage which is useful for Fire Tornado. Volgan Scale will increase all damage dealt, while Drill allows your projectile attacks like Data Burst to punch through multiple targets. All three of these offer a vital secondary benefit when certain techniques are also maxed out.
If you have these three, you should look to Holster to get more projectiles from Data Corruption and Data Burst, or Kaleidogrease to increase the duration of slow fields created by Data Corruption. (Naturally, if Oree has extra gear slots unlocked, you should try to pick up both.) Motherboard and Kusanagi are also great choices, with the former increasing all digital damage and the latter increasing boss and mini-boss damage.
Synergy
By increasing your Fire Tornado with a Fire Chip, you can upgrade it to Fire Tornado+, causing all of your fire tornadoes to leave behind a trail of flames that can deal extra damage to enemies that touch them. Similarly, maxing out Turbo Attack with Volgan Scale will allow you to upgrade it to Turbo Attack+, causing your Turbo Attacks to set enemies on fire, dealing damage over time as they burn.
Data Burst +, unlocked by maxing out Data Burst with a drill equipped, will constantly fire piercing data projectiles at enemies as they approach (not unlike the Holy Wand from Vampire Survivors), dealing a truly ridiculous amount of damage that can be further increased increase item Motherboard. Data Corruption+ is obtained by maxing out Data Corruption with Kaleidogrease and causing extra projectiles to fire in all directions after creating a slow field, which can be useful for dealing extra damage while moving.
Game style and general strategy
With Oree, you'll need to play it safe early in the round, using your dash to dodge enemies and deal a little extra damage until you level up high enough to really start dealing damage with your AOE techniques. Data's damage is pretty weak in terms of raw damage, but it's great for slowing down enemies, while Oree's ultimate attack, Mechanical Heat, lets them throw missiles at random places all over the screen. Use this when the swarm gets particularly large to free up space or activate it on optional defense objectives to help stem the incoming tide.
If you're working with other players, you can afford to play a little more risky and use data damage to lock down troublesome enemies for your allies while they keep the horde away from you.
