Argument for Street Fighter's Destiny 2 crossover leak to cut both ways

In recent decades, cooperative video games have become commonplace, especially in competitive multiplayer games such as Street fighter 6. Capcom's premier fighting franchise has a rich history of using its characters in other video games, and its latest collaboration with Destiny 2 was recently leaked on X (formerly known as Twitter). The potential crossover will feature Ghost Shells skins of Ryu, Chun-Li, and Cammy. While this collaboration is pretty sweet and fun, it could be more intriguing and impactful Street fighter 6 borrowed some from Destiny 2iconic characters.

The Fate the franchise also has a long string of crossovers. It all started with subtle references to other games such as Hello and Dark souls in 2014. However, by 2022 Destiny 2 increased cooperation with other games such as Fortnitewhich featured skins for Commander Zavala, Ikora Rey, and Exo Stranger. However, more recently the game has borrowed from other titles. With a collaboration with one of the biggest fighting franchises on the horizon, it would be interesting to see Destiny 2 to lend its iconic characters to a completely foreign game genre.

How Destiny 2 characters might fit into Street Fighter 6

Street fighter 6 only recently started using characters from other franchises as playable units. Terry Bogard of Fatal rage and The king of fighters fame is first, while Mai (from the same game series) will be released in 2025. This crossover was well received by fans as some were disappointed with the previous one SF6 cooperation with names like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles there were no playable characters. The infamous floodgates were opened for other games to sign their characters to the World Fighting Tournament, and Destiny 2The cast is filled with fighters who are right for the job.

Commander Zavala is the perfect choice for a brawler or grappler

It would seem unfair for Destiny 2's Guardians to use weapons in actual fistfights, so you'll need to send a character who's good at hand-to-hand combat. Commander Zavala has shown some close combat in the past. His Prelude video even shows him blowing enemies away with a powerful punch. This Titan would most likely be suited as a grappler like Zangif or a fearsome brawler like Marissa.

Ikora Rey will make a great zoner

Guards are most likely trained for close combat, as evidenced by the different hand-to-hand combat options for each subclass. Perhaps the coolest of these come from warlocks like Ikora Rei, as they can throw projectiles in melee. It's not hard to imagine her as a zoner like JP Street fighter 6hurling ball lightning and arcane needles at anyone who dares challenge the warlock vanguard leader.

Destiny 2 skins are also great for SF6

If the game characters are too important, there are other ways Destiny 2 to lend his characters Street fighter 6. As with TMNT and Monster hunter cooperation in SF6the game can present Destiny 2 cosmetic products. Zavala's titanium armor is perfect for Zangief. Meanwhile, Ken's confident personality and fast-paced playstyle make him a great candidate for the Cayde 6 outfit. Ryu and Luke's main character status makes them obvious choices for the default Titan, Warlock, or Guardian Hunter skins.

As long as it makes sense for Destiny 2transferred to the transition to other shooter titles, it is much more interesting to see them outside their comfort zone – for example, in fighting games. It would be cool to see them fight against each other SF6 throw using your unique skill sets. However, it might be more realistic for them to look like fighter skins.
