An explanation of how an adult Yuta reached the level of Gojo

Jiu-jutsu Kaisen the final volume was recently released, and along with it, fans received a 16-page epilogue chapter that focuses on many of the series' characters at different points in their lives. Fans saw Nobara and Yuuji right after the end of the Showdown at Shinjuku arc, and the epilogue surrounding Uraume's character took place long ago in the Heian era.

Similarly, the one surrounding Panda was set in a completely different era, and it's safe to say that it was the most shocking of them all. This is simply because the epilogue of Panda took place in the year 2080, around which time the likes of Yuta, among others, were already quite old. Fans know for a fact that Yuta has accomplished quite a bit by this point in his life, and that he has achieved immense power, rivaling perhaps even that of Gojo.

In Panda's epilogue, fans learned quite a bit of interesting information about many of the Jujutsu High characters. One of the most interesting things that fans have learned is that Yuta has risen up the ranks significantly since the end of the Shinjuku Showdown Arc, and by 2035 he has already become the head of the Gojo Clan. More precisely, Yuta was not the permanent head of the Gojo clan. Instead, Yuta is believed to have become the acting head of the clan, but a head nonetheless. This means that Gojo's death for one reason or another led to Yuta taking over the position.

Fans may be confused as to how Yuta could hold this position despite not being a member of the Gojo family, but the answer was revealed by the author in his own story long ago. Yuta and Gojō share a common ancestor in Michizane no Sugawara, and because of this, their blood may be similar, which is why Yuta ended up becoming the current head of the Gojō clan. Of course, that's not all. Yuta was Gojo's protégé and the one who cared about Gojo the most. Yuta was more of a Gojo than anyone else, and he was truly the only one who understood the burden of becoming the strongest. It had no character JJK who cared about Gojo as much as he did, and if anyone deserved to inherit this position, it was Yuta.

By 2080, Yuta had lived a full life and grown old with grandchildren of his own. Obviously, the fact that Yuta's favorite things were in Gojo's family vault meant that he was still the acting head of the family, and that he had been in that role for a good part of his life. Not only does this mean that Yuta has presided over a huge rise in political power in the JJK world, but it also shows that Yuta has risen significantly in terms of power. It also makes sense considering the fact that Gojo himself stated that Yuta could compete with him in the future and surpass even the Special Degree.

Utah's potential in the JJK was limitless. The very first thing fans need to keep in mind is that Yuta and Gojo share a common ancestor, which means they have a lot of potential in a way. By the time of the Showdown at Shinjuku arc, Yuta had not fulfilled this potential in any way. In fact, the last time Gojo and Yuta trained together, the former was quick to scold Yuta for using the cursed energy, telling him that he could still do a lot better and that he lacked control over it in many ways. In essence, this is proof that Utah has not reached its maximum power level. At the same time, fans also know that Yuta can improve in terms of applying the cursed energy in many ways, and at the same time, strengthen his bond with Rika, as well as making her stronger with him.

It must be remembered that Yuta was still quite young at the time of the showdown in Shinjuku and far from reaching full maturity as a wizard. At the same time, Yuta's bond with Rika had probably strengthened as well, and together the two had probably made a stronger team than ever before. Yuta could also enhance his physical attributes, making him a very powerful magician.

Another thing that a lot of fans don't take into account is the fact that Yuta spent quite a bit of time in Gojo's body and likely learned quite a few secrets of the cursed energy from being inside him. It's likely that Yuta later applied what he learned to his techniques, making him much stronger than he was before.

Utah probably wouldn't have been accepted as a clan if it wasn't strong enough. In fact, Yuta had to live up to the standards set by Gojo, and if he didn't meet those standards, then the Gojo clan would surely choose someone else from within their own ranks to be the head of the clan. The fact that Yuta was specifically chosen for this position despite not being directly connected to the clan only means that they were forced to make this decision based on his incredible strength and potential as a leader clan. Undoubtedly, by 2035, all the way to 2018, Yuta was probably the strongest current magician and was actually following in Gojo's footsteps.
