The Vatican in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle full of mysteries to find, puzzles to solve and locked safes to open. While some locked chests or safes are easier to crack as the note usually has a combination written on it, others are more difficult and require players to solve the mystery before finding the required code.

The Elephant in the Room is a mystery found in the Sukotai region of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle that involves solving a challenging puzzle.

Once players obtain the Clerk's Key and enter the Vatican, they will see a tent directly ahead of them with the aforementioned locked chest in the Belvedere Courtyard. This will require you to find a ticket fixer in one of the drawers that has a combination front and back.

A locked chest in a soldier's tent in a closed part of the museum wing is part of the “Commemorative Date” mystery in the Vatican. It involves players figuring out the current delivery date from the manifest and deciphering the code behind it from a cypher lookup table.

Near the end of the Nun in Distress field quest, Indy receives a key from Sister Juliana. By reaching Borgio's courtyard and using the key on the door, players will be able to open the safe, solving the Polybius Square puzzle, which is part of the Father and Son mystery.
