A hero shooter is only as good as its core cast of playable characters, and thankfully Rivals of Marvel set to deliver a packed list on startup. There are currently 27 heroes and villains confirmed Rivals of Marvelthey will all be available on release day December 6th:

According to NetEase's latest “Dev Vision” video,

'The roster will feature an impressive total of 33 playable characters at the launch of the first season, Season 0.


While NetEase hasn't confirmed any of these six additional heroes, there are rumors that Hawkeye, Human Torch, Ultron, and Blade may also appear in Rivals of Marvel in the near future. With the countdown repeating its roster before launch, the remaining six characters will soon be officially revealed.

Marvel Rivals will launch with 9 cards

This was also confirmed Rivals of Marvel will receive nine cards within the first month. Eight of these maps will be available for both quick play and competitive 6v6 matches, four of which have already been available during closed playtests and are:

  • Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya
  • Tokyo 2099: Spider Islands
  • Ygsgard: Royal Palace
  • Yggsgard: The Way of Yggdrasil

This means there will be four more Quick Play/Competition cards Rivals of Marvel in December, although it has not yet been confirmed where they will be installed. Rivals of Marvel one Conquest map will also be introduced at launch.


Conquest in essence Rivals of Marvel'a team deathmatch mode where the objective of both teams is simply to eliminate as many opposing players as possible within a time limit.
