The Genshin Impact The waitlist for version 5.1 is out, and rather annoyingly, it shows that Shenhe has officially broken Yula's record of not appearing in more than 14 versions. It's no secret that the absence of Shenhe and Ganyu was disappointing Genshin Impact community, especially after the pair received premium clothing in version 4.4. Also, Uriotsley's extended absence from the event banners shows that the developers aren't quite sure what to do with the Cryo characters in Genshin Impact. While Navia, Chiori, and Xilonen have addressed most of Geo's major weaknesses, Cryo remains in a pretty terrible position by comparison.
That being said, HoYoverse is unlikely to have given up on the elements like Citlali Genshin Impact rumored to be a 5-star Cryo Catalyst with the premium Shield Support ability pack. In addition to Citlali, the Captain was shown to use Cryo during the events of v5.0, and while the leak is still unknown regarding his status as a playable character in the Natlan era, Fatui Harbinger will most likely be a hypercarry with a 5-star Cryo Sword when released . While only Chasca and Wanderer are rumored for 5.2, players shouldn't expect Ganyu and Shenhe until the next Lantern Rite. On the other hand, a banner appearance for Tartaglia and Zhongli seems likely, with the latter being guaranteed due to his archon status.
