Genshin Impact will launch version 5.1 on October 9, 2024, and the developers are teasing a major story development for the Traveler and the people of Natlan. Titled “Rainbow Destined to Burn”, version 5.1 Genshin Impact will continue the storyline started in version 5.0, with Mavuika embarking on a quest for an ancient traveler's name, a first for a Natlan alien. Meanwhile, the Traveler and Paimon, along with Citlali and Araron, investigate the Masters of the Nightwind, hoping to trace the tribe's connection to the Captain.

Version 5.1 adds Xilonen to Genshin Impact cast, as she'll be headlining event banners alongside Chiyori for the first half of the patch. She can best be described as a Geo Support, capable of destroying elemental resistance, providing single target healing and offering powerful buffs to her teammates in C2. While Ororon and Citlali will launch in versions 5.2 and 5.3 respectively, Genshin Impact players will be able to interact with them through the Archon Quest.


HoYoverse is scheduled to launch version 5.1 on October 9, 2024, and the upcoming update will introduce a new reward structure for Genshin Impactallowing players to claim bonus Primogems to explore new areas. 400 Primogems will be awarded to players who reach certain milestones in the three main areas of Natlan added in version 5.0. In addition, they will be able to receive a bonus of 500 Primogems by completing the two new Archon Quest Acts in version 5.1.

A big aspect of version 5.1 is the quality of life changes as the developers look to streamline character creation and improve the Spiral Abyss experience. In particular, players will now be able to skip the first two floors of the Spiral Abyss Genshin Impactprovided they got all the trial stars from floors 11 and 12 in the previous cycle. In terms of character building, Genshin Impact players will now be able to create custom artifact filters for each individual character in their roster, allowing them to constantly track down useful artifacts with ease.

As for the main event, version 5.1 will return players to Sumeru, where they will help organize the Sabzeruz Festival for Nahida with the help of their Academy friends. Taking place in Port Ormas, the festival will feature a series of mini-games and allow players to obtain Candace, a 4-star hydrodrake weapon, for free. While Candice may not be the most popular 4-star character in the Genshin Impactshe can be a powerful support for Bloom and Electro-Charged teams in higher Constellations.
