After Nekamamushi and Inuarashi, Pedro could also become the next mink leader. But believing in Monkey D. Luffy, a person with so much potential, Pedro did not hesitate to sacrifice his life for his beliefs.

Dying for someone is incredibly heroic, but willingly blowing yourself up makes the action and effect that much more grandiose and moving. In the short time that Pedro had known Luffy, he had become incredibly loyal to him, and demonstrated this loyalty without much pain or regret. He willingly gave his life, something some of Luffy's crew may not have been able to achieve.

The princess of Alabaster Kingdom has been through a lot with the Straw Hats. In order to defeat Crocodile and free her country, Vivi fought alongside the Straw Hats and grew close to them, becoming like one crew member. After Crocodile's defeat, it was time for the pirate crew to leave Alabasta, and deciding whether they would go with Vivi became an important decision.

Although it was a difficult decision, Vivi eventually decided to stay. Thus, she remained loyal to her country, taking on the burden of the citizens who needed to rebuild it instead of living the free life of a pirate.

Soul King Brook was a unique discovery for the Straw Hat Pirates. Finding him in the Florian Triangle, he and the team went ahead to meet Heko Moria, the warlord at the time. After defeating Moria, Brook became a member of the crew; unfortunately, the team disbanded shortly after for two years, despite Brooke only being a member for a few months.

During these years, Brooke gained immense fame as the king of soul, a rock star. However, instead of continuing to enjoy the fame and money, Brook gave it all up for a team he had only been a part of for a few months.
