JEDDAH: Civilians in Sudan are facing “appalling levels of violence” during the country's 15-month civil war, according to a report by medical charity Doctors Without Borders published on Monday. “The price paid by civilians in this war qualifies the conflict between warring factions as a war against the people of Sudan,” the charity said. Fighting broke out in April 2023 between the regular army under the command of Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan and the paramilitary Rapid Support Force led by his former deputy Mohammed Hamdan Dagal, commonly known as Hemedti.
