22 injured during explosion in paddock area at Germany’s Nuerburgring auto racing track

BERLIN: Twenty-two people were injured in an explosion in the paddock of Germany's famous Nürburgring racetrack, police said on Saturday. Police said one person was seriously injured, three were seriously injured and the rest were slightly injured in the accident, which they believe was caused by an exploding air bag, on Friday night, German news agency dpa reported. Police were still at the scene Saturday to investigate the cause. Several people were taken by helicopter to nearby hospitals.
